Introducing: Celebrity Apex

.It is now common knowledge that Celebrity Cruises named its second Edge-class cruise ship, Celebrity Apex. The naming was made official during a steel cutting for the ship at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, last month.

Celebrity Edge, the first ship in the line’s new edge class, launches in December 2018.

Celebrity Apex, previously rumoured to be named ‘Celebrity Beyond’, is scheduled to enter service in spring 2020. A third and fourth Edge-class ship are scheduled for Autumn 2021 and Autumn 2022, respectively.

Celebrity Apex will be named in Southampton in 2020 before offering a mini-series of sailings from the UK.
